Event FAQs
Is there a fee to attend the fair?
Gate donations are accepted; a minimum $2 donation is appreciated. Galena Country Fair is organized by volunteers. Event proceeds are returned to the community via a grant program.
Where are the remote parking lots?
Remote parking lots are located on the west side of Galena. Visit the a parking page for a map and more information.
Where is handicap parking?
A limited number of handicap parking spots are located on Johnson Street bordering Grant Park.
Is there parking at the Old Train Depot Visitor Information Center?
Paid parking is available in the City of Galena's parking lot located near the Old Train Depot Visitor Information Center. The small lot at the Visitor Information Center has a 20 minute limit and is not available for all day parking.
Is there a fee to park?
Free all day parking is available at the three remote parking lots. There is a $5 parking fee for all day parking at the City of Galena's parking lot located near the Old Train Depot Visitor Information Center.
How often do shuttles run between the remote parking lots and Grant Park?
Shuttles run every 15 minutes between the remote parking lots and Grant Park.
Where do the shuttles unload?
The shuttles unload on Water Street on the west side of the pedestrian bridge (downtown Galena).
Where are the bathrooms located?
Bathrooms are located at both ends of Grant Park. A handicap restroom is located near Johnson Street and on the opposite side of the park near the large pavilion.
